Rashmi Sharma, MD, RPVI, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified vascular surgeon who welcomes patients at her private practice, Hampton Vein & Vascular in Westfield and Rutherford, New Jersey. Her extensive training in the endovascular and surgical treatment of arterial and venous diseases ensures exceptional outcomes, while compassion and concern for each individual contribute to the patient’s overall health and well-being.

Dr. Sharma specializes in using venous duplex ultrasound to perform in-office diagnostic studies, then develops customized treatment for conditions such as spider veins, varicose, veins, and venous insufficiency.

Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She then finished her surgical residency at the University of California, Davis, East Bay. She earned her board certification in general surgery in 1999, then went on to complete an endovascular fellowship at Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix and a vascular fellowship at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta. In 2002, Dr. Sharma was board certified in vascular surgery.

Dr. Sharma is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), which supports her expertise in vascular ultrasound interpretation and validates that she has the knowledge and skills to make consistent, reliable diagnoses in vascular disease.

When she’s not helping patients, Dr. Sharma enjoys yoga, cooking, photography, and traveling.
